Upcoming Blog Previews, And…

A picture of me, on a napkin… But more on that later.

My current dilemma: So much editing, so little free time to blog about it.

While I’m waiting for free time to finally get here (one of these days), I decided to make a blog post, previewing a few random upcoming blog posts, that will eventually happen. Blogging to me is more of a “fun thing”, so I don’t allow myself to do it, unless I’m taking a short break, or totally done with my work, hence the scarcity of daily blog posts, or anything like that… hehe

I Have Such A Hard Life.

Let me explain…
I get to go to cool locations, and shoot even cooler people. I don’t have to be stuck in a cubicle all day, and get to do something I love.
Let me explain now the definition of sarcasm:
My previous sentence.
I’ll keep this one short, to save all of my millions of readers precious time, and get straight to the point of tonight’s post! I am currently saving up for my new Nikon D700, and man, I can’t wait! It was a tough decision, but I’m deciding to go with …

I Have A Confession To Make…

That Iyhia and Nygul are pretty much the coolest couple that I’ve ever shot. Not only because of their very unique names, but because they are superly stylish, and awesome people. We had an awesome time on their engagement shoot! I normally don’t like posting a million engagement shoots, but I couldn’t pass up on this one. And there are even like 18 images up from this shoot. Take that, browser loading time.
I have an idea: From now on, every couple I shoot gets to look like they’re famous and …

Yacine: Part I of II

Today I’ll be posting shots from my first shoot with one of my latest clients, Yacine. He’s a local MMA fighter, and we have some really cool stuff coming up in our second part of our shoot! Seriously, it’s going to be epicly cool. And epicly isn’t even a word… There might even be a little video content up around then.
Ok, now onto the shoot. We had a great time, as always! I will stop using that line one of these days, I promise…

Almost a month later, I re-appear…

Never fear, for I, just like Johnny 5, am still alive! I’ve been extremely busy lately, and haven’t had as much time to blog, since I’ve had so much stuff to process, from weddings/engagement shoots, to portrait sessions (one including an MMA fighter), to band stuff, so I figured I’d drop in, and say hi. Why am I a little behind, you  might ask? Here’s what’s happened lately:
My father has been in the hospital for the past week and a half, and has been having major kidney issues, and has …

Sunset Veil’s Latest Promotional Shoot

I was faced with my band, once again, wanting a new promotional shoot, since our lineup had changed slightly… But, unlike last time, they seemed to want something a little different, with a “classy” feel. To quote them exactly, they didn’t want “just some band shot in an alley”, so I had to do a little planning.
After a few days, I starting thinking… How awesome would it be to have a shoot, with our band, in the back of a limo? The look I wanted was this: Our band, after …

My Shoot with Mother’s Anthem…

It’s finally here… My shoot with Mother’s Anthem!

Well, part one at least… hehe, we had such a blast shooting these! Here’s the story behind the set (story style, of course… what else is there?):

It was a warm day… A day, unlike many others, for Matthew and Daniel had quite the task set before them: building that of a set. They looked deep into the woods, through many paths, and with their four hands, found the darkest of the fallen branches, and brought them back to the opening of the forest. With their new found discovery, they attempted, many times, to fill Daniel’s car and trunk with these branches, and then, after roughly an hour, drove, illegal style (check the following pictures to see the 2 foot long branch sticking out of the window), all the way downtown, to their humble studio…

These are my woods.

We had a great time shooting these! I’ve been doing mostly paid work lately (which you will most definitely not ever hear me even begin to complain about… hehe), and wanted a little break… I’ve had this idea for quite a while (taking a family portrait of my brother and I in this style), and finally…

Client Shoot: Stephen Tilmon

I forgot, after checking my Flickr stream, that I hadn’t yet uploaded any more shots from my shoot with Stephen from a few months back, so I figured hey, why not throw a few more online? And, while I’m at it, why not practice my amazing book narrative styled blog writing, for no apparent reason?
The setup to that day, narrative style…
It was rainy, and quite dreary; for it was the day before “the Chase” shoot. We hadn’t yet known how it was to get trespassing charges, for we were…

Ashley + Clint

We had a great time last Friday (09.05.08) at Ashley and Clint’s wedding! It was quite the long day, but hey, that’s what we’re used to! hehe, great couple definitely, and great families… Here are a few of the shots from the bridal shoot, and the…
